History of Maha kumbh
There are some stories behind maha kumbh. These stories related to the samudra manthan. But other than stories in santan dharma the rivers get workships from very earlier.
Before it was named as “Magh mela”.
Calculation of Kumbh
12 days of Devta = 12 year of Human
Every 12 year kumbh mela happens in any one of these four places ( Prayagraj, Nasik, Hariduar, Ujjain )
Jupitar, Sun and Moon decide the Kumbh mela.
But the calculations are:
Maha kumbh held in Prayagraj in 2025 then again will be held in 2037 in Prayagraj.
Likewise in Nasik maha kumbh held in Nashik was 2015 so again it will be held on 2027 in Nashik.
In Haridwar it was held on 2021 so the next maha kumbh will be held on 2033.
In Ujjain the last maha kumbh held on 2016 so it will be held on 2016.
It is like 12 year cycle for each place.
